Relevance to Project
The pyrolysis facility design requires custom material handling infrastructure for feedstock intake, processing, and product output. Technical Steel’s in-house fabrication capability eliminates dependency on third-party fabricators and enables rapid prototyping and iteration of handling systems as the facility design evolves.
Engineering Design Partners
- Kirk Oden, TKO (manufacturing engineer, Cal Poly Pomona): materials handling engineering and biochar plant design. Career includes Biomass Engineering and Equipment (BE&E) and Mendocino Forest Products. Provides turnkey plant design services, including material handling systems for sawmills, pellet mills, and biochar plants. Has produced preliminary facility cost estimates in the $70-75M range.
